Cancellation Information — JPC 2027 Property Care Membership

When statutory cancellation rights may apply

Where you enter into a distance contract (for example online or by telephone) or an off-premises contract and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply, you normally have a right to cancel a service contract without giving a reason during the statutory cancellation period. Different rules and exceptions may apply depending on how the contract was entered into. An application alone is not the Membership contract.

For a service contract covered by these rules, the normal period ends 14 days after the day the contract is concluded. Your Membership Agreement identifies when your contract is entered into; the service start date is not necessarily the contract date. Failure to provide the required cancellation information can extend the statutory period under the Regulations. Your statutory entitlement is not reduced by an incorrect date recorded by JPC.

How to cancel

Inform Jimmy's Property Care at 25 Downshire Road, Newry, County Down, BT34 1EE, by email at jimmyspow@gmail.com, or telephone 07763577387 with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. Give your name, property address and Membership reference so we can identify your contract. You may use the separate Model Cancellation Form, but you do not have to. Where these statutory rules apply, sending your cancellation communication before the cancellation period expires meets the deadline.

Refunds where statutory cancellation rights apply

We will reimburse payments due under the applicable statutory cancellation rules without undue delay and normally no later than 14 days after being informed of your decision. Reimbursement uses the same payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a reimbursement fee. Any lawful proportionate charge for services already supplied is subject to the conditions below. Rights and remedies under other applicable consumer law remain available.

Services requested before the period ends

JPC will not begin during an applicable statutory cancellation period without the required express request. If you expressly request early commencement and cancel during that period, a proportionate payment for services actually supplied before cancellation may be payable only where the law permits and its required conditions have been met. For off-premises contracts the express request must be made on a durable medium. Choosing early commencement is optional and does not itself waive cancellation rights. Any exception relating to fully performed services must satisfy the applicable legal conditions; no automatic waiver is created here.

For cancellation outside a statutory period, consult the cancellation and refund calculation in your Membership Agreement. This notice does not invent an additional refund formula.

Important: Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms.
